4. Tottenham have another wild night against Inter Milan

Although Tottenham don’t have a great history in the Champions League, they did play in one of the competition’s most exciting matches back in 2010. The match is perhaps best remembered for Gareth Bale’s unbelievable performance, in which he scored a hat-trick.

In that match, Inter Milan had a 4-0 lead at halftime and Spurs’ keeper Heurehlo Gomes was sent off inside 15 minutes. Despite this huge deficit, the London side almost completed an extraordinary comeback, led Bale.

Te Welshman netted an amazing hat-trick and showed why Real Madrid eventually made him the most expensive player in the world at the time. This game has a very different vibe about it but there’s no reason it can’t be as exciting.

Inter Milan have fallen in grace since that night and have finally returned to the Champions League after many years of fighting to get back to their elite status. Tottenham, however, have improved to become one of England’s best sides with some of the most exciting young players in the game.

Tottenham started their season well but in the past couple of games they’ve looked poor. Mauricio Pochettino can turn his team’s fortunes around with a win away in Milan on Tuesday. It’s important that Spurs pick up points, too, with Barcelona and PSV also in their group.

On Tuesday, both sides will want to have a calculated game that finishes with three points for their side. It’s hard to see that happening, though, with two sides who don’t really know each other that well. Expect goals and both teams to go for the win in order to get some crucial points on the board.
