Secondary: Calvin Ridley – 30% Ownership

It’s very clear that Ridley is a talented player and refined route runner but he didn’t land in the best spot for a rookie when it comes to first year opportunity. He plays second fiddle to Julio Jones and won’t do much work in the slot until Mohamed Sanu retires or moves on. He may not win you a league but he’s definitely worth a look, especially in deeper leagues.

The reason he’s worth an add is because the Falcons offense can potentially sustain multiple pass catchers and it’s not crazy to think that he could be worked into the game plan more and more based on talent alone. He finally found the end zone in week two and looked great doing it which helps build trust with his quarterback and offensive coordinator.

Secondary: D.J Moore – 26% Ownership

D.J Moore is another rookie that built a lot of hype in the offseason but hasn’t really met his expectations just yet. Coach Ron Rivera did mention they want to “work him into the gameplan more”, and that proved true in week two. He saw less than 20% of snaps in week one and that bumped up to nearly 40% this past Sunday, and Moore was able to find the end zone too. He’s a talented player that was drafted in the first round for a reason. Watch closely how the choose to use him on a week to week basis and he just might surprise you and end up in some of your lineups.

Greg Olsen opened the door for another pass catcher in Carolina to step up, and Christian McCaffery doesn’t seem to be getting the usage we all hoped for, which bodes well for both Devin Funchess and D.J Moore. He is worth an add in deeper leagues and is someone you should keep an eye on as the season progresses.
