2019 NFL Mock Draft: Cardinals nab Ed Oliver
By Brad Weiss
The Tennessee Titans are having some issues at the quarterback position entering Week 3, as they are dealing with an injury to young star Marcus Mariota. Playing against the Houston Texans this past weekend, the Titans had to roll with Blaine Gabbert under center, and that seemingly is never a good thing.
However, Gabbert and the Titans were able to pick up a huge victory against division rival Houston, and are currently sitting at 1-1 on the young season. The Titans made a solid run to the playoffs last season, and upset the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round, so they can never be counted out, especially when Mariota is healthy.
When it comes time for them to draft in the first round next April, they will definitely be picking in the second half of the first 32 picks. With that pick, they should look to add some talent along the defensive line, and Dre’Mont Jones from Ohio State is a very exciting player when it comes to stuffing the run, and getting in the quarterbacks’ face.
The Titans need help up front on defense, and Jones is that kind of hybrid player who can play up and down the line. They have the talent to win the AFC South this season, so they could be picking later in round one, but if they do pick towards the middle of the first round, Jones could be waiting for them.
