50. . Defensive Lineman. Michigan. Rashan Gary. 4. player

The Detroit Lions have stumbled their way to an 0-2 record to start the regular season, losing a tough one to the New York Jets in Week 1, and then against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2. They played much better this past week, but navigating the NFC North is going to be rough in 2018, and they may find themselves in the cellar at year end.

For the Lions, they have to get better on the defensive side of the ball, as they have just refused to stop anybody this season. They do have the  talent to get stops, but are very inconsistent, which is a bit surprising considering their head coach is former New England Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia.

You have to think being so bad on defense is wearing on Patricia, and he will be looking to make upgrades to the unit this offseason. With their top pick in the first round in 2019, they should look to get better up front, and Rashan Gary from Michigan is a guy who you can put in the middle of your defensive line, or line up on the edge.

Detroit made the playoffs two years ago, and barely missed out on it last season, so the talent is there to be a competitor in the near future. The 2018 season has not gotten off to the start they would like,  but they figure to be around nine wins again this year, which means they will be picking a bit later than No. 4 overall.
