2019 NFL Mock Draft: Cardinals nab Ed Oliver
By Brad Weiss
The Houston Texans took a hard loss this past weekend against division rival Tennessee, as it just took too long for the offense to get rolling. Houston does have quarterback Deshaun Watson coming back from a serious knee injury, so there is going to be some hiccups early on, which has resulted in their 0-2 start.
On both sides of the ball, the Texans have the talent to challenge in the AFC South, so don’t be counting them out just yet. Watson is a solid talent under center, and we saw a good game from Will Fuller V this past weekend against the Titans secondary.
The defense has the kind of players you want to build around, though like Watson, some players are coming off big injuries. They will get this thing figured out, but as it stands now, they would be picking in the top-10 of the 2019 NFL Draft, where they should look to bring in an offensive tackle.
Jonah Williams is regarded as the best offensive tackle in this draft class, and he should be the first one off the board. In fact, he could end up going a lot higher than No. 6 overall, but if he is there, the Texans should make the early investment in a player who could protect Watson for the next ten seasons.
