2019 NFL Mock Draft: Cardinals nab Ed Oliver
By Brad Weiss
The Pittsburgh Steelers are off to a rough start to the 2018 season, as they tied the Cleveland Browns in their opener in Week 1, and then got rocked by the Kansas City Chiefs this past weekend. The Chiefs were able to pick apart the Steelers defense with ease, as first-year starter Patrick Mahomes II threw for six touchdowns in his third career start.
For the Steelers, they have to get better on the defensive side of the ball, as there has been too many lapses over the first two weeks of the season. They have the horses on offense to make a serious run this season, even without Le’Veon Bell, but they are not going to beat anybody with the way they are playing defense right now.
Pittsburgh needs help on all three levels of their defense, and to their defense, they have been bringing in young talent via the draft in recent years. The trade they made during the 2017 season for Joe Haden was solid, and now they should spend a first round pick on a guy like Andraez Williams from LSU.
Greedy, as he is called, is the best cornerback in this draft class, and is certain to go early in round one. The Steelers may end up picking a lot later in round one, as their start is pretty shocking, but if they are in the top-10, adding to their secondary has to be a priority at this point.
