Stream the PGA Tour Championship 2018: Watch online
By Luke Norris
Here’s how to stream the 2018 Tour Championship from East Lake Golf Club, the final event in the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Playoffs.
After nearly 50 events in the 2017-2018 PGA Tour season, it all comes down to this as 30 of the world’s best will compete for close to $35 million in prize money and bonuses at the Tour Championship, the final event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
For close to a year, the top players in the world gathered points in an effort to get into the top 125 in the FedEx Cup standings, the top 100 of which moved on to compete at the Dell Technologies Championship following Bryson DeChambeau’s victory at the Northern Trust. DeChambeau also won in Boston, at which point the top 70 in the standings made their way to the BMW Championship.
It took 73 holes to find a winner there as Keegan Bradley earned his first PGA Tour victory in more than six years in a playoff with Justin Rose, who still managed to take over the top spot in the world in the loss, and now there are 30 players left to vie for the Tour Championship and ultimately the FedEx Cup title, which carries a $10 million bonus prize along with it.
Technically, every single player at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta has a chance to win the FedEx Cup this week but the top five (Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Rose, Tony Finau, Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas) automatically win the FedEx Cup championship with a win at the Tour Championship. The 25 remaining players would need some help in order to do so but with the way this PGA Tour season has gone, nearly nothing would be shocking at this point.
Golf Channel and NBC will be handling the television side of things (you can get the full schedule below) but if you’re looking go the streaming route, there are a number of ways to keep up with all of the action. The best way is to use the NBC Sports app, which is going to follow along with the coverage on both Golf Channel and NBC. I will say that the app does require you to have a subscription with a major cable provider so if you’re looking to go the free route for the Tour Championship, getting a seven-day free trial with FuboTV will also do the trick. PGA Tour Live is also on board for East Lake with featured coverage and featured holes every day.
