Here’s everything you need to know about this weekend’s Big Ten game between the Michigan State Spartans and Indiana Hoosiers from Memorial Stadium.

Indiana isn’t known for being a football school, but here we are with the Hoosiers boasting a 3-0 record. Indiana, which went 5-7 overall a year ago and 2-7 in Big Ten play are 3-0 for the first time since 2015. Can they go 4-0 against a hungry Michigan State team at home needing redemption? Starting quarterback Peyton Ramsey looks to lead his squad against a very hungry Michigan State team looking for redemption after their loss to Arizona State.

Ramsey will have to do more than his 173 passing yards if the Hoosiers want to come away with their first Big Ten win and advance to 4-0. Stevie Scott’s 318 yards and three rushing touchdowns the past two games have helped pace the Indiana offense. Scott will need to be just as dominate to help his team beat the Spartans Saturday night in Bloomington.

Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio is already facing an uphill battle. His team is coming off a Sept. 8 loss at Arizona State, plus injuries have put this young Spartan team to the test early in their 2018 campaign. Starting quarterback Brian Lewerke’s 601 passing yards, three passing touchdowns and two interceptions isn’t the greatest start and he’ll be counted on delivering his best game of the year on Saturday.

Lewerke must step up and play at a higher level if he wants to beat the undefeated Hoosiers. Running back Connor Heyward looked impressive with his two-touchdown game against Utah State in the opener but fell flat against Arizona State, rushing for only 22 yards and zero touchdowns.

Can Michigan State live up to the hype and knock off Tom Allen’s red-hot Hoosiers in Bloomington? Fans can expect to see a hungry Spartan team looking to redeem themselves against a tough-minded undefeated Hoosiers squad ready to make that next leap.
