NASCAR XFINITY Series at Richmond live stream: Watch Dale Earnhardt Jr. (possible) final race
By Nick Tylwalk
Don’t want to miss what might be the final NASCAR race for Dale Earnhardt Jr.? We tell you how to watch live and make sure you don’t.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. has retired from full-time NASCAR competition and turned to his other jobs: broadcaster, team owner, husband and dad. Even with all that going on, though, he’s still not quite done racing, and he’ll be back behind the wheel for the NASCAR XFINITY Series Go Bowling 250 at Richmond Raceway on Friday night.
Oh yeah, and it’s also the start of the XFINITY Series playoffs, so there’s that too.
Seriously, though, while Earnhardt will undoubtedly be a big focus — especially since he’s going to be doing in-car analysis during stage breaks and other long cautions — the chase for the XFINITY championship begins in earnest on Richmond’s short track. One of Junior’s drivers, Justin Allgaier, has emerged as the favorite, but he’s got a close rival in Christopher Bell. Those two begin the playoffs 20 points clear of all the other contenders thanks to their multiple regular season wins.
Then there’s the curious case of watermelon farmer and all-around great story Ross Chastain. Given a chance to strut his stuff in better equipment, Chastain has been the hottest driver in recent weeks, capturing a win in the regular season finale to rocket him up to the sixth seed. Richmond is his final race in the Chip Ganassi Racing No. 42 Chevrolet, and you can bet he’s going to make it count.
So there’s plenty going on even before you take into account that it’s possible this could be the final race for Dale Jr. If there’s one XFINITY Series race you watch this year, this should be it, and the info you need to do that is right here:
