ESPN’s College GameDay will be live from Eugene on Saturday. A Pac-12 clash between the Oregon Ducks and Stanford Cardinal will be the site of the show.
It’s going to be an early morning in Eugene on Saturday. The west coast is getting their first chance to host ESPN’s College GameDay in Week 4. There’s a huge battle in the Pac-12 North brewing between No. 7 Stanford and No. 20 Oregon.
The Ducks are hoping they can pull off the upset over Stanford and vault over them in the division and perhaps the rankings as well. With conference play underway for many programs, this is one of the biggest battles of the weekend.
For the Cardinal, they will get a huge return on the road. Running back Bryce Love is slated to return to the lineup this week against Oregon, and it should provide a huge boost to the offense as they look to pick up a signature road win.
Oregon knows that to take the Pac-12 North this season, it’s going to be a tall task. Defeating Stanford is a must and it’s a chance for quarterback Justin Herbert to have a signature moment against a stout defense.
This isn’t the first conference game of the season for Stanford. In Week 2, they defeated the USC Trojans at home. Defeating Oregon would add another top-25 victory to their total on the year and keep them firmly positioned where they are in the rankings or perhaps give them a shot to jump in the top five if someone falls out. There are plenty of star players and a whole week of college football to preview on Saturday. College GameDay will be live bright and early to break it all down.
