Hoffenheim vs. Borussia Dortmund live stream: Watch Bundesliga online
By Adam Stocker
Hoffenheim face Borussia Dortmund at Wirsol Rhein-Neckar-Arena on Saturday, Sept. 22. Here’s all the info you need to watch online.
Since Julian Nagelsmann took over as the manager at Hoffenheim, only Bayern Munich have picked up more points than achtzehn99. Last season, Hoffenheim finished level on points with Borussia Dortmund. The two teams meet at Wirsol Rhein-Neckar-Arena on Saturday in a game that could determine the top six finish at the end of the season.
Hoffenheim have had a disappointing start to the Bundesliga season, losing two of three games, including a loss to newly promoted Fortuna Dusseldorf. In their Champions League game on Wednesday, Shakhtar Donetsk scored a late goal, preventing Hoffenheim from picking up their first ever Champions League game. While achtzehn99 have had a tough start to the season, Adam Szalai has been a better than expected replacement for Mark Uth. Szalai has scored three goals in Hoffenheim’s first three Bundesliga games. Nagelsmann will lean on Szalai and Andrej Kramaric to lead the attack against Dortmund.
Outside of a scoreless draw against Hannover, Dortmund have had a good start to the season. Despite picking up seven points in three games and beat Club Brugge in Champions League, Lucien Favre is still trying to figure out his best lineup. Favre has tried Marco Reus as a striker, but the Dortmund captain in much better suited to play on the wing. The problem for Favre is his lack of a true striker and too many wingers. Paco Alcacer scored in his debut but an injury might prevent him from playing Saturday. Maximilian Philipp has struggled to regain his confidence since returning from injury last season. On the wing, Favre has to decide between Reus, Christian Pulisic and Jadon Sancho.
