It’s all about the matchups. This week we’re finding out who’s set for big seasons and who has a weakness to exploit? Let’s look at our ten.

Week three. We’re getting down to it. The first month of the season is drawing to a close. What matchups are no brainers this week and who should you be glad to have in your starting lineup?

If you’re like me you’re happy you put Patrick Mahomes on this list last week and not happy you had to face him. Who’s primed for big time this week?

No. 10 James White vs. Detroit

I like this matchup a lot for James White. A lot. White had a really solid game in the loss to Jacksonville. Add that to the fact that the Lions defense has struggled mightily against the run and sit at 0-2 heading into a game with a Patriots team coming off a hard loss at the hands of the Jags.

White is a great PPR play in most leagues and in this case why he’s on this list this week. Just four carries Sunday in Jacksonville but seven catches for 73 yards later, and I think White goes big if the Patriots really want this win to try and catch the Fins.

The Lions got absolutely gashed by Matt Breida (!) and the 49ers on Sunday and sit at 0-2. Things aren’t looking good in Detroit but they’re helped by the tie between Green Bay and Minnesota. Sitting in last after the Bears’ win on Monday Night Football, the Lions could push the tempo a ton in this matchup.
