Arsenal vs. Everton live stream: Watch Premier League online
Arsenal face Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 23. Here’s everything you need to know to watch.
After a slow start that had a number of fans reminiscing about the sweet, sweet days of Arsene Wenger, Arsenal have won three straight matches in the Premier League and Unai Emery is a hero. The attack this season has been as advertised, and is further buoyed by Mesut Ozil being back to his best. After a trying summer with the German squad and a rocky start to his season with the Gunners, he’s helping unlock defenses yet again. Having Ozil linking up with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette is a daunting prospect for defenses, but its Arsenal’s own back line that is cause for concern. For years the defense has been an issue for the club, and it continues to be a work in progress. No clean sheets so far this season are raising questions about whether or not it’s time for a change in goal. Petr Cech has the history, but Bernd Leno may be a better fit for what Emery is trying to do.
Everton face their own set of problems as well. In stark contrast to Arsenal, the Toffees are winless in their last three, and heading to North London has been tall order for quite some time. Everton are winless in their last 24 (!) trips to Arsenal in all competitions. Not great, Bob. Marco Silva continues to look for the right recipe for success on the pitch. The good news for him is Richarlison will return from suspension for a side that desperately needs his spark in attack. Everton has also been bit by the injury bug. No Seamus Coleman, no Phil Jagielka this week. Fans have been clamoring to see some changes in the back and it looks like these mounting injuries will give them exactly what they wished for. A win would be big for Everton as they now find themselves smack in the middle of the table, with aspirations for European competition seeming more and more unrealistic by the day.
