DraftKings NFL: Week 3 Lineup

Defense/Special Teams

Minnesota Vikings vs. Buffalo Bills – $4300

There may be a week where the Bills opponent is not a smart play in DraftKings but this week is not that. Minnesota’s defense is a scary thing with All-Pros at every level. Going up against a Bills offense with a rookie quarterback, and likely without LeSean McCoy makes it even more dangerous. It is no surprise to see them atop the rankings with the game in Minnesota. This has the make-up for a historic fantasy defense performance.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans – $4000

You know what else is scary for an NFL offense? Losing both starting tackles and seeing the Jaguars defense next on the schedule. That is exactly what the Titans are up against this week. Quarterback Marcus Mariota may play, it will be determined later this week. It just may not matter. The Jaguars front four is eight players deep and a force to be reckon with.

Tennessee has struggled offensively so far this season, and that will continue going up against this defense. Mariota and Gabbert are both decent at protecting the ball, so that is the only thing limiting the fantasy production of this unit.

Value Defense/Special Teams

Denver Broncos @ Baltimore Ravens – $2400

The Denver Broncos are DraftKings 14th ranked defense this week. They are not the dominant force they once were but against this Baltimore offense they should look like one. Von Miller, Shane Ray and Bradley Chubb will be able to get after Joe Flacco and there is not a weapon in the Ravens offense that scares defenses. People were excited about the Ravens after Week 1 but the Bengals brought them down to earth. Denver is a good bet here, even on the road, against Joe Flacco and his three turnovers from a week ago.

Dallas Cowboys @ Seattle Seahawks – $2200

This may be an overreaction to Sunday night’s win for Dallas. The Cowboys pass rush and defense looked fierce in their ability to shut down the Giants. New York has legitimate star players at the skill positions and a former Super Bowl MVP at quarterback. Meanwhile Seattle, this week’s opponent, has just the quarterback.

Their skill positions are bottom five in the league, finally catching up their abysmal offensive line. Dallas can make this a long game for Russell Wilson and despite being DraftKings 21st ranked defense, the potential is there for the Cowboys to shut down the Seattle offense.
