Last week saw a big week for wide receiver sleepers in PPR leagues. For standards, and PPR, this week, who stands out?
Big plays stood out this past weekend and I think that could carry into Week 3. I mean Tavon Austin silenced the “Dak can’t throw deep” critics for about five minutes with his opening drive touchdown Sunday night.
Wide receiver depth is a finicky game to play but it’s the best game out there. Finding that your flex option you coveted in the draft just isn’t producing? Let’s look at 10 guys, one of which you may have stashed on your bench, that could fill that hole this weekend.

No. 10 Adam Humphries vs. Pittsburgh
Humphries is a tough sell here and finds himself in the deep of the deep sleeper roles. His return abilities, however, make him a matchup I like as the Buccaneers try to move to 3-0 on Monday night.
He’s low on the receiver chart and with Godwin making great strides it’s a tough call. Herein lies the issue with Pittsburgh though: coverage. Especially in the slot, they’ve struggled mightily at times. The biggest weakness last week was at tight end where Travis Kelce found holes on both sides of the secondary.
With how Evans and Jackson have performed, I think Pittsburgh keys in on those guys especially deep to try and limit Fitzmagic and Humphries could find a lot of targets over the middle. Add in that return game and I’m intrigued.
