Hey guys! Hope you all had an amazing weekend and cashed out using all the resources here at FantasyCPR! Lets get into what to watch for in Fantasy Football Week 4 and get started in on our research.

1. Baker Mayfield‘s Official Fantasy Football Start

I called this back in August (I have proof if you need it) that Baker Mayfield will be the starter by Week 4 and it has happened!  Also Hue Jackson took about 3 days too long to announce Mayfield as the starter but he’ll be going up against the Oakland Raiders, a defense that has allowed 258 yards on average through the air. Fantasy Football gold for offensive targets.

While we have high Fantasy Football expectations for what Mayfield should do, we also know the Oakland Raiders can’t play in the second half or even the fourth quarter so we can expect some more magical things from the runner up to Patrick MaGOAT’s MVP Season.

If only the Cleveland Browns didn’t trade Flash due to being late and pulling his hamstring outside of practice, this Browns offense mixed with their defense could be a deadly force during the regular season. Sorry Brown fans, this isn’t your year.

2. Keenan Allen vs. San Francisco 49ers Pass Defense

It was a very harsh day for me and the million 49er fans watching yesterday as we witnessed Jimmy G go down with a brutal ACL injury and most likely out for the season. But that won’t stop me from saying attack the 49ers this weekend as things will get nasty.

Keenan Allen is in a prime spot facing this San Francisco defense especially with Richard Sherman being out for 2-3 weeks. Basically being dead last, the 49ers are allowing 287 yards through the air and Keenan Allen just might have that by himself. Allowing one receiver in each of their first 3 games to break a hundred yards, the 49ers most likely won’t have an answer for Keenan Allen or the San Diego Chargers.

3. Josh Allen vs. Green Bay Packers

What we assume to be a chalky owned QB in Week 4, Josh Allen gets to face a Green Bay Packers defense that is allowing an average of 262 yards through the air and has only snagged two interceptions. Allen came through in his first start against the Minnesota Vikings in which he threw for 196 yards and 1 touchdown while rushing for 2 more touchdowns.

If it wasn’t for Bakers Godfield coming in during the Cleveland Browns game and completely dominating, Josh Allen would be the buzz of the weekend. Can Josh Allen perform once again and make it seem like the Buffalo Bills aren’t the joke of the 2018 season or will he be a one and done hype bust?

4. Can New England Bounce Back?

Who would have thought that some of us may actually be panicking over the 1-2 Patriots?  As a offensive whole, Tom Brady and the Patriots haven’t really gotten off to the right foot as they are only averaging 202 yards through the passing game and only 97 yards on the ground but could this be the week where we see them bounce back? Their opponents, Miami Dolphins, are allowing 288 yards through the air and a impressive 89 yards on the ground.

Josh Gordon should be ready to go and work with arguably the greatest Quarterback of all time, which opens up a whole new dynamic to their offense. But in the running game, I wouldn’t expect much to change. Burkhead has struggled just to stay on the field, Sony Michel isn’t doing what pre-draft analysis hyped him up to do but there is some hope and hype with James White.

Can we expect him to carry a heavier workload as he had 4 carries for 37 yards, an average of 9.2 yards per carry. Or has Belechick already made the call to the Pittsburgh Steelers for Le’Veon Bell? Would you really be surprised if he has because I wouldn’t. But look for this to be a bounce back game for Tom Brady and his Wide Receivers and possibly James White.

5. To Fade Alvin Kamara Finally?

You probably almost exited out after reading this question but is it time to finally fade Alvin Kamara for Week 4? Hear me out first! Alvin Kamara has  put up basically the same amount of Fantasy Points in his first three weeks with 37, 32, and 37 once again but he finally faces a run defense that has only allowed one running-back to reach 75 rushing yards.

The New York Giants are averaging of allowing 111 yards on the ground as a total team but not to one single rusher yet. In Week 1, T.J. Yeldon only rushed for 51 yards, Leonard Fournette rushed for 41 yards before exiting with an injury. In Week 2, Ezekiel Elliot rushed for 78 yards, 4.6 yards per carries, and 1 touchdown with Dak Prescott following him for 45 rushing yards.

In Week 3, Deshaun Watson lead his team in rushing yards with 36 yards while Alfred Blue rushed for only 13 yards and Lamar Miller with 10 yards on 10 carries, basically running back to the line of scrimmage. Now I’m not saying Alvin Kamara is on the same low-tier levels as the ones mentioned but the New York Giants defense does one thing well and that’s playing defense but also their offense is slowly picking up the pace to match their defense. Before you lock in on Sunday and keep Kamara in your lineups, look at the other running-backs match-ups as there is most likely a better play elsewhere.
