What’s new this season? Not much. Jennifer Hudson, who did not make a huge splash with the viewers when she debuted in season 13, returns for another round. She won’t be staying, though, because NBC has already announced that her big red chair is being taken over by John Legend in spring 2019.

Also back are last season’s winner Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine, who may now be the most controversial Super Bowl halftime show performer ever. Don’t expect that to come up in this episode, though, as these Voice blind auditions were pre-taped months ago.

What TV fans will see in these two hours is more of the same: two hours of people singing, hoping to land a spot on the show, while the coaches squabble amongst themselves. NBC hasn’t included a synopsis for the premiere, presumably because they know that viewers are aware how these go by now. The Voice season 15 is here, and it’s time to turn some chairs.
