League winning deep stash: Malcolm Brown – 1.4% Ownership

I know what you’re thinking. Who?

Brown is the backup to one of the most dominant fantasy football forces we’ve seen in a long time, Todd Gurley. Brown has absolutely .no standalone value and he might not even be someone that ever sees a fantasy lineup this season. You know what else he might be? Someone who turns into an upgraded version of James Conner for the best offense in the league.

Brown is a lottery ticket in every sense of the term and he’s only someone that can be added in twelve team leagues or larger for teams that have the depth. He’s the clear handcuff which surprised a lot of people since John Kelly has so much talent. Kelly has been inactive in all three games and Brown has performed well when he comes in to replace Gurley.

This choice may surprise a lot of people but there’s something to be said for players that can win you a league. There’s only a handful of them and we’ve seen that guys like James Conner can be difference makers when a starter goes down. Brown is a dark-horse pick, but he shouldn’t be ignored. If you own Gurley, roster him now.
