Secondary: Nyheim Hines – 9.2% Ownership

Hines had one of the worst preseasons in recent memory so he was off the radar for most leagues except the incredibly deep full PPR contests. Hines seems to be the only one with a solidified role in the Indianapolis backfield as the dink and dump safety valve for a quarterback struggling to get the ball downfield. He’s seen at least six targets in every game so far this year and he definitely improved upon his route running from what we saw before week one.

Hines was electric in college and he has a ton of talent, so he could be someone that blossoms into a pass catching specialist for a team desperate for playmakers. Hines is definitely a stash and shouldn’t be started just yet but he’s seeing enough increasing work that he should be rostered in all leagues with more than 12 teams and is worth a flier in ppr leagues for teams needing some upside.

We all hope from a football standpoint that Andrew Luck returns to form eventually, but even if he does Hines will have value in that offense. Throw a speculative cheap bid at him and I’m sure you will find him on your roster when waivers clear.
