4. Tom Brady (LW: 3)

Brady has to be counting the seconds until Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon get on the field. Right now, it’s Rob Gronkowski and a bunch of guys Bill Belichick pulled out of the stands. So far, Brady ranks 25th with 644 passing yards despite being 18th in attempts. The 41-year-old will be fine, but this has been a bumpy start.

3. Philip Rivers (LW: 4)

Rivers was sublime against the Rams, but it didn’t matter because the defense and some hideous coaching decisions let him down. The future Hall of Famer has thrown for 906 yards with eight touchdowns and a single interception, but the Chargers have only managed a single win to this juncture.

2. Aaron Rodgers (LW: 1)

Rodgers is basically playing on half a leg, and he’s still incredible. Yes, the Packers being 1-1-1 isn’t exactly something to brag about, but we’re talking about a generational talent here. Even with all the struggles, Rodgers has a half-dozen scoring tosses and nary an interception. Dude is getting it done.

1. Drew Brees (LW: 2)

Brees looked like a cross between Bobby Douglass and Dan Marino on Sunday, running for two scores while totaling 396 passing yards and a trio of scoring strikes in the air. Brees might be the most underrated player of our time, having thrown for 5,000 yards five times in a season.
