The Washington Huskies continue their climb back to the top of our Pac-12 power rankings, although they had to deal with a very good Arizona State team this past weekend to move to 3-1. The Huskies got another solid effort from quarterback Jake Browning, who threw two first-quarter touchdown passes and then capped his game with another TD pass in the fourth quarter.

Washington did a nice job protecting the ball in this one, as Browning etched his name in the Huskies history books, by becoming the second player in school history to throw for 10,000 yards. Ben Burr-Kirven was a monster on the defensive side of the ball, racking up 20 tackles, as the Huskies were able to hold against a very pesky Sun Devils team.

This weekend, the Huskies will battle it out against another top-25 team, as they welcome BYU to town. As it stands, Stanford sits alone atop the Pac-12 North right now, but the Huskies will get their shot against them later in the season, and for now, they just have to keep winning ballgames.

Stanford took on Oregon in the biggest game on the Pac-12 slate this past weekend, and despite looking dreadful early on, they were able to pick up the huge win on the road. Stanford picked off Oregon star Justin Herbert in the end zone in overtime, sealing the victory inside Autzen Stadium, and keeping their status as a top-10 team in the country.

Running back Bryce Love returned from injury against Oregon and ran well, but it was quarterback KJ Costello who really took over this game. Outside of the game-winning toss to Colby Parkinson, Costello also threw for 327  yards and two more scores, connecting with JJ Arcega-Whiteside twice in the game.

For the Cardinal, they now head to Notre Dame to take on the Fighting Irish this weekend, in another matchup of top-25 teams. That game is going to really set them apart as a top contender for the College Football Playoff, and if they can come away with the victory, they come home to take on Utah in two weeks, looking to move to 6-0 on the season.
