Welcome to the NFL FantasyDraft Week 4 optimal lineup! Last week our lineup was money as if you played my lineup from this article you probably cashed in all your cash game contests.

We had a bunch of players have great days, but none better than Saints duo of Brees (43.54) and Kamara ( 37). Spoiler alert, you’re going to be playing them again in NFL FantasyDraft  this week. Once again this week the Saints game is anticipated to be the highest scoring affair on the slate so you will also see OBJ joining the aforementioned Saints for a nice game stack this week. I am also employing a strategy I almost never use but cannot avoid this week, using two tight ends. Another game that is anticipated to have a high score is Atlanta and Cincinnati, so we will also have some action there this week. Enough chit-chat, let’s get to the lineup!

NFL FantasyDraft Week 4 Optimal Lineup Quarterback:

Drew Brees ($11,900) – Once again Drew Brees is the best option this week as our cash game QB. With Patrick Mahomes playing Monday night that led my to my next choice in Brees. With this game expected to be the highest scoring game on the slate it was a no brainer to make Drew the choice this week. Last time Brees played the Giants he threw for 7 touchdown passes. There’s a really good chance that doesn’t happen in week 4, but there is a very good chance Brees gets into the end zone 3-4 times either through the air or on the ground like last week when he had two rushing td’s, including the game winner.

NFL FantasyDraft Week 4 Optimal Lineup Running Backs:

Alvin Kamara ($18,200) – Like with Kamara’s QB above there is no better option to have in the backfield on this slate. Kamara is just unstoppable right now and I am willing to pay this steep price every week to get his guaranteed points. This Giants defense, while not one of the worst in the league, is not one of the best. They are allowing nearly 6 yards per play and 40% in red zone scoring. Kamara is also 5th in the league in targets, not just by RB’s. Last week Drew Brees targeted Kamara 20 times, 15 of which he caught for 124 yards. When you add his 66 rushing yards in Kamara nearly hit 200 total yards. He also had 37 fantasy points WITHOUT scoring a td, I don’t see how he doesn’t get in the end zone this week though.

Giovani Bernard ($11,500) – Gio Bernard is my 2nd choice at RB this week in what should be another high scoring affair against Atlanta. Bernard is taking over again this week for the injured Joe Mixon and this may be the last week get to use Gio with Mixon slated to return in week 5. Last week in the loss to the Panthers Bernard took 12 carries for 61 yards and a score, he also caught 5 of 9 targets for 25 yards. In what should be a shootout this week I look to Bernard to have another exceptional day for the Bengals.

Other Options: David Johnson ($12,300)

NFL FantasyDraft Week 4 Optimal Lineup Wide Receivers:

Odell Beckham Jr. ($15,700)- OBJ completes the Saints/Giants game stack this week. Last week in the Giants first win of the season Beckham was targeted 10 times, and has an average of 11.3 targets per game this season. In week 3 OBJ caught 9 passes for 109 yards but no touchdowns. Beckham will eventually get into the end zone and I think his first TD comes this week. It is possible that the Giants will playing from behind and if the offensive line can keep Eli standing up there is no doubt OBJ will meet his average on the season for targets or surpass it, which should lead to an amazing day for the Giants superstar.

Cavin Ridey ($ 10,600) – In week 3 we saw the emergence of the rookie wide out from Alabama and my was it ever an emergence. Ridley caught 7 of his 8 targets for 146 yards and THREE touchdowns . Now, we probably won’t see numbers like this again this week, but we should continue to see Matty Ice targeting Ridley as he clearly has moved ahead of Mohammad Sanu in the Atlanta depth chart.

Tyler Boyd ($10,200) – Speaking of breakout receivers, Tyler Boyd is also having himself a breakout season for the Bengals. Last week Boyd was targeted by Dalton 7 times of which he caught 6 for 132 yards and a score. This game between the Falcons and Bengals is the second highest total on the slate and that’s why  I also have a game stack here. I think both these games meet the high points Vegasinsider.com has put up for them. There is also some speculation that A.J. Green could miss this game with a groin injury making Boyd the Bengals number 1 receiver against Atlanta.

Other options Tyler Lockett ($10,500), Larry Fitzgerald ($9,800)

NFL FantasyDraft Week 4 Optimal Lineup Tight Ends:

Zach Ertz ($11,600) – Ertz was the clear favorite target for quarterback Carson Wentz in his first game back this season, but he was only able to haul in half of his 10 targets on the day 73 yards. Ertz has seen double-digit targets every week this season and I don’t see this changing against Tennessee this week for the veteran tight end.

More from FanSided

David Njoku ($5,600) – Njoku caught both targets he received last week after Mayfield entered the game. This week sets up to be a good game for Njoku in his first full game with Mayfield under center against a pathetic Raiders defense. Njoku hasn’t found the end zone yet this season but with the Raiders allowing just a tick under 7 yards per play and a horrid 50% red zone scoring I think this week is the first of many touchdowns from Mayfield to Njoku this season.

NFL FantasyDraft Week 4 Optimal Lineup – Def/ST :

Indianapolis Colts ($4,200) – Indy is not a defense many people think of when it comes to fantasy, but they have chance to get a decent point total this week against Houston. We are not looking for a 20 point day out of our defense, but we do hope for 8-12 points from this defense. When looking at the stats there are some coincidences that could be good for us. On the year the Cots average 3.3 sacks per game, Houston allows the same number per game, also DeShaun Watson is averaging 1 INT per game and the Colts pick off one pass per game on average. Also the Colts are allowing 21 points per game and the Texans are scoring just under 20 points per game. There is some upside with this defense this week.
