WWE has announced that Evolution will be having a reunion at Smackdown’s 1000th episode this October, with all former members including Batista, who hasn’t been seen in WWE for over 4 years.

Big news as of regards Smackdown and it’s 1,000th episode that’s scheduled to take place this October 16th. WWE has officially announced that popular wrestling faction, Evolution, will be having a full-blown reunion at the show with all former members that includes Triple H, Randy Orton, Ric Flair, and even Batista.

WWE posted on their website the following statement:

"“At SmackDown 1000 on Tuesday, Oct. 16, Evolution reunites – Triple H, Batista, Randy Orton and Ric Flair will be in Washington, D.C. for the historic event. Evolution is comprised of some of the most successful Superstars in history – there are 49 world championship reigns between the four members, who ran roughshod through WWE from 2002 to 2005, then rode again for a vicious rivalry with The Shield in 2014.”"

This comes as a pretty big news story for not only one of the most successful factions in WWE that’s planning to get back together again for Smackdown 1000, but this also marks the return for Batista, who hasn’t been seen in WWE for over four years since his second stint with the WWE in 2014, which many considered it to be a massive flop. Despite this, since leaving WWE, Batista has found great success in the acting scene, with playing roles in countless movies such as the Guardians of the Galaxy film series.

However, even though he did well for himself in Hollywood, it seemed unclear at the time on whether Batista was returning soon to WWE considering his last return to the company didn’t go over so well.

But with the recognition Batista has with wrestling fans in general, it would hard for WWE to pass on a potential Batista appearance if it’s a guarantee it’s going to get people invested into their product.

Plus, many would’ve argued that a special episode that celebrated the 1000th episode of Smackdown wouldn’t make much sense if he was absent for the show since he was considered one of Smackdown’s biggest stars during the mid-2000s.
