Patrick Mahomes has some trouble in Denver

There is no way to look at Patrick Mahomes’ start to the season and not be amazed. He has taken the league by storm lighting up the score board and protecting the football. Thus far, Mahomes has been able to avoid a letdown.

Andy Reid and company have developed a great game plan and the young quarterback has embraced this opportunity. He is in complete control of the offense and appears as though he will be able to sustain this success.

However, Mahomes is due for some regression and it could start this week. The Denver Broncos feature a solid defense with talent along the defensive line and in the secondary.

Denver boasts an elite pass rush with Von Miller, Bradley Chubb, Shaquil Barrett and Shane Ray.  The Broncos know that their ability to create pressure on Mahomes will be key to slowing down the Chiefs attack.

I’m not predicting a horrible game for Mahomes, but this is arguably his toughest test. It’s important to remember that this game is in Denver who just happens to be a division rival.

A win for the Broncos would put them atop the AFC West. This looks like it could be a very tight race so every win counts.
