Chris Carson has another 100 yard game

The Arizona Cardinals defense ranks in the bottom four of the NFL allowing over 130 rushing yards per game. This group has had to deal with a lot of factors including a terrible offense that puts them in poor situations.

Arizona’s offense is as responsible for the defense’s struggles. They can’t sustain drives which means more time on the field for the defense.

Things are unlikely to change this week with the Seattle Seahawks coming to town. Seattle is coming off a game where they committed to running the ball and saw Chris Carson top the 100-yard mark.

This commitment to Carson saw the offense find a rhythm and allowed Russell Wilson to work play action. The Seahawks are likely to keep this momentum rolling and feed Carson the football.

Seattle’s offensive line is playing with more confidence after being allowed to play down hill. Offensive linemen tend to prefer attacking rather than sitting on their heels in pass protection.

There is the Rashaad Penny factor, but the rookie running back only saw three carries last week against the Dallas Cowboys. It appears that the Seahawks feel more comfortable riding one back to help him find a rhythm.
