After a very solid performance in Week 3, it’s time to get back to cashing with these Week 4 GPP targets on NFL FantasyDraft’s Sunday main slate.

Week 4 is the beginning of the NFL bye weeks, so we will only have 13 games to pick from on the main slate at FantasyDraft. Unfortunately, this will be the first week we will not be able to lock in the PPR stud, Christian McCaffrey, into our lineups (as the Panthers are on a bye), but there are a handful of games to target to get us past the pay line in FantasyDraft GPP’s.

Be sure to follow me on Twitter @sticks022 and @FantasyCPR for more fantasy football information. Thank you for reading and best of luck this week!

Stick’s Picks – NFL FantasyDraft Week 4 GPP Targets (Main Slate)

NFL FantasyDraft GPP Quarterbacks:

Phil Rivers ($12,300)

Rivers is my QB1 for the main slate on Sunday. The Chargers come into the game with an implied total 28.5 points and are favored by 10.5 points in the matchup against San Francisco according to TeamRankings.com. The 49ers are solid against the run, so I’m projecting Rivers and their elite receiving core to do whatever they want through the air.

Lock Rivers in for cash games along with GPPs if you want to pay up for quarterback.

DeShaun Watson ($12,000)

Watson will be heading to the dome in Indianapolis this weekend to play in a high-scoring matchup against the Colts (47 point total). The Colts defense has been quite impressive to start the season and have yet to give up a big game to an opposing quarterback, but that should change this weekend.

If the Texans want to score points on Sunday, they’re most likely going to have to do so via the pass. Watson also rushes for 30+ yards a game, so there’s some extra production you won’t be getting from other quarterbacks in this article.

Matt Ryan & Andy Dalton ($11,400)

I’ll be all over this Atlanta/Cincinnati game in DFS (as I’m sure many will be). It’s looking like Vegas is projecting another shootout in Atlanta with an over/under of 53 points (the highest on the board for the Sunday slate).

Matt Ryan is on fire coming into this match-up (averaging 37.4 fantasy points over the past two weeks) and I don’t see him slowing down this week. The Bengals defense, as a whole, is nothing to fear, so play Matt Ryan with confidence in a game that is certain to be high scoring.

On the other side, Andy Dalton is another great play for the week (gross, I know). The Falcons defense is insanely beat up and are coming off a performance where they gave up 396 yards and 3 touchdowns to Drew Brees.

By no means is Andy Dalton comparable to Drew Brees, but he should be a safe bet to eclipse the 300 yard mark with 2+ touchdowns, especially with the Falcons losing Ricardo Allen for the rest of the season.

At their price, I’d much rather have Matt Ryan but if you’re looking to be a little contrarian, Dalton isn’t a bad play.

Honorable Mention:

Mitch Trubisky ($10,500)

Aaron Rodgers ($12,700)

Baker Mayfield ($10,900)

Andrew Luck ($10,900)

NFL FantasyDraft GPP Running Backs:

Ezekiel Elliot ($14,500)

I was all aboard the Zeke train last week in Seattle where he did everything but score a touchdown. Zeke had 16 carries for 127 yards (7.9 yards per carry). So far, it seems like Elliot’s ownership levels are low on a weekly basis and I don’t see that changing this week.

He continues to be involved in the passing game which is great for the PPR setup at FantasyDraft. Zeke is pretty much Dallas’ only offensive asset, so there is no reason to back off of him this week. I’m locking him in for 140+ all purpose yards, and two touchdowns – he is my RB1 on this slate.

Alvin Kamara ($18,200)

His price point is crazy-high, but it’s hard to fade Alvin Kamara this week. He is coming off a game where he would have paid off his salary via pass-catching alone. Personally, I would rather spend up for stud wide receivers this week, but I cannot avoid rostering Kamara in a few lineups. He will be highly owned and will continue produce at an elite level.

Giovani Bernard ($11,500)

Gio is going up an Atlanta defense that has already allowed 36 catches to receivers out of the backfield – that is ridiculous. Assuming Joe Mixon is ruled out for this matchup, chalk up Gio Bernard for 8+ catches and 100+ all purpose yards. If he can find his way into the end-zone, he is going to finish as a top-5 running back on Sunday.

Bernard is likely to be a favorite for DFS players this weekend, but I cannot justify fading him. I’ll be rostering Gio in 60-70% of my GPP lineups.

Tevin Coleman ($11,000)

Coleman was a chalky play in Week 3 against the Saints and disappointed a lot of DFS players. I’m banking on DFS players holding a bit of a grudge against Coleman and avoiding him on their rosters in what should be a bounce back week for Tevin.

The Bengals just gave up 230 rushing yards to the Carolina Panthers in Week 3 and have allow an average of 7 catches per week to opposing running backs. At a very low price, Tevin is a nice GPP pivot with big upside. As I mentioned earlier, this is a great game to stack, so get Tevin Coleman into your rosters and enjoy a big game with relatively low ownership.

Leonard Fournette ($13,200)

It looks like Fournette will be a full-go this Sunday against the Jets. The Jets’ rushing defense is certainly not what it used to be, so there is no reason to avoid targeting them. I doubt many DFS players even give Fournette the time of day when constructing their rosters, so let’s take advantage of that.

Fournette should be a lock to have 18+ carries and 4+ catches in the passing game. Assuming he can score a touchdown or two, this can be a huge game for Leonard and the Jaguars’ rushing game. I’m expecting him to come into DFS tournaments with less than 8% ownership and to be a key factor in tournament winning lineups on Sunday.

Kerryon Johnson ($8,700)

The Lions finally had a running back rush for over 100 yards last Sunday night against the Patriots! That running back was rookie, Kerryon Johnson. Although Johnson is still part of a time share with LeGarrette Blount and Theo Riddick, he should get the majority of the touches in Sundays’ game at Dallas.

The Cowboys will be without all-pro linebacker, Sean Lee and that is going to be a problem for their run defense. In the 5 games the Cowboys played without Lee in 2017, opposing teams averaged 136 rushing yards per game – yikes.

Regardless of the time share in the Lions’ backfield, I’m going to roll the dice and say Kerryon gets 15+ touches and easily pays off with his minimal salary on FantasyDraft.

Honorable Mention:

Carlos Hyde ($10,300)

Sony Michel ($9,500)

Jordan Howard ($12,700)

Chris Carson ($9,800)

NFL FantasyDraft GPP Wide Receivers:

Julio Jones ($15,400)

I probably sound like a broken record here, but I’m going to have plenty of exposure to the Falcons/Bengals game. I’m going to go out on a whim here and say this is the week Julio gets in the end-zone.

I do not love the way the targets continue to decline on a weekly basis for Julio (19-9-6 over the last 3 games) but I’m confident Matt Ryan gets Julio involved early and often. I expect ownership to fade down a bit on Julio this week after back-to-back duds, so I love him as a tournament play against a very beatable defense. The Falcons also have a very nice implied total of 28.5 points!

A.J. Green ($14,100)

Keep an eye on the injury report on Sunday morning as A.J. is currently nursing a groin injury suffered in Week 3’s game in Carolina. Everything I’m reading says he should be good to go, but you always want to double check on game day.

Assuming he plays, I think A.J. has a monster game against a Falcons’ pass defense that is getting torched on a weekly basis. If A.J. plays at less than 100%, his upside is limited, but I still think he is a safe play for 100 yards and a score.

DeAndre Hopkins ($15,500)

Hopkins continues to be targeted 10+ times a game. Despite a very tough matchup in Week 3 against Janoris Jenkins, Hopkins still found a way to have a productive game with 6 catches for 86 yards. By no means is that a game DFS players would write home about, but I like to look at that as Hopkins’ floor.

Hopkins will have a plus matchup against a sub-par Colts’ secondary in a game with a rather high total of 47 points. Yes, the Colts have done well against the pass lately, but the only true #1 wide-out they have faced thus far was A.J. Green in Week 1, where he tallied 6 catches for 92 yards and a score.

I like Hopkins’ chances of getting another 10+ targets and turning those into a high-scoring fantasy performance.

Mike Evans ($14,500)

Evans is on an absolute tear to start off the 2018 season, and I don’t see that stopping this Sunday in Chicago. Bears’ cornerback Prince Amukamara is most likely going to miss this game, and the Bears’ rarely ask Kyle Fuller to Shadow. Even if Fuller does shadow, Evans has the size and skills to consistently win that matchup.

Here are Mike Evans’ averages through 3 games this season:

  • 7.6 receptions per game
  • 1 TD per game
  • 122 receiving yards per game

Yea… rostering Mike Evans this week is a must. I like both sides of this Bears/Bucs game, so I’ll have few lineups focusing on a game stack here as well.

I’m assuming most DFS owners game stack the Bengals/Falcons and the Texans/Colts games, so we may get some low ownership if we stack this Bears/Bucs matchup with Evans being a key part of that.

Odell Beckham Jr. ($15,700)

I’ll be brief on this one, the Saints rank dead last against opposing wide receivers, and Odell is averaging 11+ targets a week. Beckham has yet to find the end-zone so he’s due for a touchdown. This game is going to be a shootout, and Saints’ cornerback Marcus Lattimore is struggling. This should be a big week for Odell and the Giants’ passing attack as a whole.

On the other side, Saints’ receiver Michael Thomas ($16,900) is always a great play in DFS as well.

Allen Robinson ($11,200)

Allen Robinson should see a lot more snaps out of the slot this Sunday against Tampa Bay (assuming Anthony Miller is ruled out). Slot receivers have been carving up the Bucs to start the season and I expect that to continue on Sunday.

I mentioned earlier that I will be game-stacking this Bears/Bucs game, and Allen Robinson will be a big piece to those lineups. He is simply too cheap to avoid on FantasyDraft.

Honorable Mention:

Antonio Brown ($16,800)

T.Y. Hilton ($12,700)

Keenan Allen ($15,200)

Juju Smith-Schuster (12,300)

Tyler Boyd ($10,200)

Brandon Marshall ($7,800)

Will Fuller ($12,700)

Michael Crabtree ($10,300)

Davante Adams ($13,400)

Taylor Gabriel ($7,700)

NFL FantasyDraft GPP Tight Ends:

Rob Gronkowski ($13,200)

Gronk was consistently double-teamed by Patricia’s defense last Sunday night. As a result, Gronk’s production was very limited for the second week in a row. Assuming DFS owners are down on Gronk, I’ll be rostering him in a lot of lineups in what should be a bounce-back game for Gronkowski and the Patriots.

The Dolphins don’t have the personnel to lock up Gronk, and the addition of Josh Gordon should help free him up a little bit. I have Gronk projected as the #1 tight end in Week 4 with 120 yards and two touchdowns. Lock him in your lineups if you can afford his steep salary.

Tyler Eifert ($7,400)

Eifert’s targets continue to increase on a weekly basis and he is playing in a game with the highest expected total on the slate. Eifert is in an excellent spot if you’re looking to pay down at tight end. He will be a major part of my Bengals/Falcons game stack lineups.

Trey Burton ($7,700)

The Bucs’ are brutal against tight ends. Vance McDonald and Jesse James just tallied 123 yards and a touchdown against them on Monday night, and Zach Ertz burned them for 11 catches and 94 yards the week prior. Burton is an excellent pivot at the tight end position and should be relatively low-owned.

Burton is my favorite play at the tight end spot in regards to value. He is cheap, and he is going to have a big game on Sunday.

Honorable Mention:

David Njoku ($5,600)

George Kittle ($7,600)

Charles Clay ($5,300)

Dallas Goedert ($5,600)

NFL FantasyDraft GPP DST:

The defense spot is pretty tough to pay down for this Sunday. I am really only looking at these 4 teams:

Jacksonville Jaguars ($7,300)

Los Angeles Chargers (7,300)

Chicago Bears ($6,700)

Philadelphia Eagles ($6,400)
