Newcastle face Leicester at St. James’ Park on Saturday, Sept. 29. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Newcastle have had an awful start to the Premier League season. The Magpies have lost four games by 2-1 scores and two scoreless draws. On Saturday, Newcastle host Leicester at St. James’ Park. The Foxes have split their first six games, winning three times.
Newcastle struggled to score goals last season and that trend has continued into this season. The Magpies have scored only four goals in their first six games. Joselu lead the club with two goals but Newcastle need Jose Rondon to start scoring goals if they are going to get out of the Premier League basement. One player who has had a strong start for Newcastle is DeAndre Yedlin. The American full-back has continued to get better and has the ability to jump forward and join the attack for the Magpies.
Leicester have had an up and down start. The Foxes cruised past Huddersfield, winning 3-1 last weekend but lost 4-2 to Bournemouth the previous weekend. Leicester have the ability to score multiple goals a game, with Jamie Vardy and James Maddison fronting the attack. The Foxes signing of Maddison from Norwich during the summer is looking like one of the best signings. Maddison has played very well and at 21-years-old, should keep getting better. While Leicester can score, they have had problems keeping the ball out of their own net. The Foxes have struggled with consistency partially because Claude Puel has not decided on a starting center-back next to Harry Maguire, with Jonny Evans and Wes Morgan splitting playing time.
