Penn State’s Juwan Johnson looks like Odell Beckham making sick one-handed grab (Video)
Penn State wide receiver Juwan Johnson made perhaps the catch of the year with a one-handed grab against the Ohio State Buckeyes early on Saturday night.
The Penn State Nittany Lions came out fired up in their home battle against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday night. With huge Big Ten East implications at play in this September battle, the Nittany Lions wanted to make a statement early. Wide receiver Juwan Johnson helped make that statement.
With the Nittany Lions looking to go down the field, Johnson took matters into his own hands and perhaps had the catch of the year. With the ball high pointed, Johnson went up and snagged it with one hand while crashing back down to the ground.
It was one of those plays that made you catch your breath and perhaps your heart stop as well. One-handed grabs are always amazing when they happen but this was a difficult catch to make with even two hands.
Needless to say, social media was abuzz as well after the catch Johnson made. After all, it’s one of those highlights that’s going to play during all year end highlight mixes and certainly any future draft tapes for Johnson as well.
Many marveled in the moment that Johnson created at Beaver Stadium.
When it comes to rivalry games like Ohio State and Penn State, especially when it could decide the Big Ten East down the line, it takes players stepping up and making big plays to help seal the deal.
Johnson easily had the catch of the week and perhaps the year in college football. It was great defense and even then, it wasn’t enough to derail Johnson from going up and making his best Odell Beckham Jr. impersonation.
