West Ham beat Manchester United 3-1 in the Premier League on Saturday, Sept. 29. Here are all the highlights from the match.

Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United lost 3-1 to West Ham on Saturday, to match 2014-15 as their worst ever start to a Premier League season, with 10 points from six matches. If Mourinho can turn things around, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to see how.

He started with a 3-5-2 at the London Stadium, with Scott McTominay in a back three and Luke Shaw and Ashley Young as wing-backs. The formation backfired early, as Pablo Zabaleta found space in behind to set up Felipe Anderson for his first goal as a West Ham player.

There was little response from United, whose front two of Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku were completely isolated from a defense and midfield that seemed unwilling to try to press West Ham’s midfield three.

The Hammers didn’t create many clear-cut chances, but they were comfortable, with Declan Rice and Mark Noble dictating tempo. When Victor Lindelof turned Andriy Yarmolenko’s shot into his own net in the 43rd minute, it was hard to say West Ham didn’t deserve it.

United improved briefly in the second half after Marcus Rashford was introduced for Lindelof and they switched to a back four. They pulled a goal back in the 71st minute, Rashford flicking in a corner at the near post.

Whatever hope that gave United was short-lived, however. Marko Arnautovic, who excelled in a center forward position following his return from a knee injury, finished easily after being played in by an excellent ball by Noble.

The win took Manuel Pellegrini’s side onto seven points from their past three games, including a draw last week against Chelsea. Their early season struggles appear to be behind them. They’re finally looking like a team capable of challenging for the Europa League places.

As for United, the loss will only raise further questions about Mourinho’s job security. In a week in which his side were dumped out of the League Cup and he had another public falling out with Paul Pogba, this performance was arguably the most concerning moment of all.
