Sassuolo face AC Milan at Mapei Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 30. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Sassuolo entered the Serie A season as a midtable team that was expected to avoid relegation. The Neroverdi have got off to an incredible start, picking up 13 points in their first six games and entering the weekend in third place. On Sunday, Sassuolo host AC Milan at Mapei Stadium. Milan again entered the season with Champions League aspirations but have got off to an awful start, picking up only six points in five games.

Sassolo defeated Spal 2-0 on Thursday to climb back into third place. The Neroverdi have played several exciting games this season with plenty of goals. Sassolo has scored 14 goals and conceded eight times. Sunday’s game will likely be a wide open game with multiple scoring chances for both sides. Kevin-Prince Boateng joined the club in the summer and leads the club with three goals. Roberto De Zerbi decided to rest Boateng ahead of the Milan game and he will likely get the start against his former team.

For the second straight game, Milan allowed their opponent to score a late second-half goal, preventing Gennaro Gattuso’s side from picking up all three points. On Thursday, Empoli converted a 71st-minute penalty forcing Milan to settle for a draw. The Rossoneri cannot afford to keep dropping points if they are going to have any chance at finishing in the top four. Gattuso decided not to play Gonzalo Higuain and Ricardo Rodriguez against Empoli. The decision proved to be a mistake by Gattuso. Higuain leads Milan with two goals and needs to keep scoring if Milan is going to climb out of the bottom of the Serie A table.
