Pac-12 power rankings, Week 6: Stanford down but not out, Oregon rebounds
By Brad Weiss

Arizona State needed a good win after a tough loss against Washington in Week 4, and being upset by San Diego State and their backup quarterback the week before. Luckily for them, they were taking on the Oregon State Beavers this past weekend, and while the Beavers do have some solid young players, they were no match for Herm Edwards and the Sun Devils on this day.
For Edwards, the win was his first in the Pac-12, and it certainly will not be his last. Star quarterback Manny Wilkins had another solid day under center, throwing for 162 yards and three scores, but this day belonged to running back Eno Benjamin. Benjamin set a school record by rushing for 312 yards while accounting for four Sun Devils touchdowns.
Arizona State looked very good early in the year and seemed to get over their stumbling back with a convincing win against the Beavers. The schedule does not get any easier this weekend, as they head to Colorado to take on the Buffaloes, who are the last remaining undefeated team in the Pac-12 this season.
The California Golden Bears had their biggest test of the season this past weekend, as they welcomed the No. 19 Oregon Ducks to town. Unfortunately for the Golden Bears, the Ducks were coming off a tough loss to Stanford, and they certainly came to play on Saturday, beating Cal by the score of 42-24.
Cal had gotten some solid efforts from quarterback Chase Garbers, who has stepped in to be the leader under center for the team. He and Brandon McIlwain had done a nice job mixing up looks at the quarterback position, though both struggled big time against a very opportunistic Oregon defense in this one.
The two quarterbacks combined for four interceptions, as taking care of the ball was an issue all game long. After finally being ranked for the first time in three years, Cal will likely see themselves fall out of the AP Poll this week and will have to bounce back this weekend on the road against Arizona, as they look to move their record to 5-1.
