The Colorado Buffaloes made a major statement about being ranked in the AP Poll on Friday night, as they rolled over the UCLA Bruins by the score of 38-16. Colorado got the most votes last week of the teams that were outside the top-25, but after a manhandling of UCLA in the second half, where they outscored them 24-3, they have established themselves as one of the best teams in the country.

Quarterback Steven Montez had another monster game under center, throwing for 237 yards and a touchdown, while also running two in. His favorite target once again was Laviska Shenault Jr., who hauled in 12 catches for 126 yards and a score, while also rushing one in against a Bruins defense that ran out of steam in the second half.

Shenault has at least ten catches in three of the Buffaloes four games this season, and the only time he did not get to double-digits was in a blowout victory over New Hampshire two weeks ago. Drew Lewis led the defense with two sacks, as the Buffaloes kept their grip on first place in the Pac-12 South Division with a convincing win on Friday night.

Jake Browning became the all-time passing leader at Washington this past weekend, as he led the Huskies to a blowout victory over BYU. Browning passed Cody Pickett for the top spot in school history, while also setting another record, as he completed over 90 percent of his passes against the Cougars, becoming the first Washington quarterback to accomplish that while attempting more than 20 passes.

Washington not only got a solid effort from Browning but also the run game, as Salvon Ahmed and Myles Gaskin both rushed for over 80 yards in the game. Ahmed also found the end zone twice, as the offense rolled, and should continue to do so this weekend, as they head to UCLA to take on the 0-4 Bruins.

Washington is certain to move up in the top-25 after a solid effort against a top-25 team this past weekend. If Browning can play at the level he did against BYU, the Huskies are going to be hard to beat, but before they can start thinking about the College Football Playoff,Ā  they still have a loaded Pac-12 schedule to navigate.
