Tuesday’s second episode is called “Rituals” and picks up where last week’s season premiere left off. Dr. Max Goodwin (Ryan Eggold) may be the new medical director, but he’s also just discovered that he has cancer — and he has no intention of telling his coworkers or even his pregnant wife.
That doesn’t go over well with Dr. Helen Sharpe (Freema Agyeman), who broke the news to Max and is determined that he’s not only going to be honest, but he needs to plan for his future as both doctor and patient. Helen and Max are already butting heads, but will they also wind up forming a bond as she tries to help him through his biggest challenge?
