4. Corey Davis

Titans fans have been waiting for the former first round pick to break out ever since he arrived in Nashville. Last week’s performance against the Eagles might prove to be a turning point in Davis’ career.

No one has ever questioned his talent but his inability to stay on the field has really hampered his progress as a professional. He’s healthy now though, and he torched the Eagles secondary in Week 4. Davis won’t catch nine balls for 161 yards and a touchdown every week, but it wouldn’t shock anyone to see him have another game or two like that as the season rolls along.

If you have a hole at wide receiver then Davis is the sort of player you should absolutely use a waiver claim to acquire. He’s absolutely Marcus Mariota’s top target in the Titans offense. It’s worth noting that he received a team-high 15 targets against Philadelphia. His big game against the Eagles wasn’t a fluke in terms of opportunity.

It’s rate to pluck a guy off the scrap heap at this point in the season who should comfortably slot into your starting lineup, but Davis is the exception. He is exactly the sort of receiver who could go on a dominating run this year to help you win a title. Investing him is a gamble, but it’s a risk well worth taking.
