The Jacksonville Jaguars are once again one of the best teams in the AFC, and early in the 2018 NFL season, they are going out there and proving it. They already have a huge win over the New England Patriots under their belts, and last weekend, they made quick work of the New York Jets at home.

It looks like the 2017 season was no fluke, and despite all the noise surrounding quarterback Blake Bortles, he continues to go out there and get the job done. Sure, there was the 9-6 loss at the hands of the Tennessee Titans this season, but he has been consistent otherwise, and last weekend, had one of his best games as a pro.

If the Jags continue to play this way, they will certainly be picking late in round one next year, and they should look to add to the wide receiver group with the selection. Bringing in a player like JJ Arcega-Whiteside from Stanford would be a solid upgrade to the unit, and would give Bortles another deep threat option in this Jags offense.

The team made the decision to lock Bortles up this past offseason, and they seem intent on seeing how far he take the organization. Maybe they only get back to the AFC title game this season, but they will have a chance to show their supremacy in the AFC this weekend, when they take on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
