FanDuel NFL: Best lineup for Week 5
Patrick Mahomes stayed on fire, the Los Angeles Rams offense could be historically great, and Calvin Ridley is this year’s best rookie receiver. But who should you put in your FanDuel NFL lineup for Week 5?
FanDuel NFL fantasy players who inserted Baker Mayfield into their starting lineup, hoping that the Cleveland Browns rookie signal-caller would build on his Week 1 performance with statistical dominance against the Oakland Raiders, were likely disappointed. Meanwhile, it was Mitchell Trubisky who tossed touchdown after touchdown to lead the charge at the quarterback position.
As the saying goes, everyone needs that sleeper, though I’m not sure how many people saw Trubisky’s outburst of first-half scoring against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coming.
Wide receivers Corey Davis and Cooper Kupp are out-of-the-bag now after monster performances in Week 1, and Davis just might be a second-year wide receiver worth inserting into the lineup. Now that Rishard Matthews has quit the Tennessee Titans, Davis is clearly the No.1 option for Marcus Mariota going forward, and he’s a necessity in this offense with tight end Delanie Walker on injured reserve.
The question is, can Week 4 standouts like Corey Davis, Alvin Kamara, Tarik Cohen, and Golden Tate have repeat performances in Week 5? Will a player like Kamara suffer with Mark Ingram set to eat into some of his carries? Can Ezekiel Elliott stay healthy? Is the Bears offense capable of going off again?
Let’s set our best Week 5 FanDuel lineup to see if we can find this week’s breakout performers, or if there are any Week 4 standouts worth rolling with again.
