The Red River Rivalry is the best game on the college football schedule this week, but there are plenty of other tasty matchups in the Top 25.

Something about both Texas and Oklahoma being ranked for Saturday’s edition of the Red River Rivalry just makes college football season right. The arrival of the game also means we’re right in the thick of conference schedules. That makes for a very intriguing top 25 slate.

The aforementioned Big 12 matchup can kick off your day at noon eastern. There are plenty of good games in the 3:30 time slot as well. LSU travels to Florida in a game that means a lot to the Tigers’ chances of staying in the national title picture.

Florida State goes to Miami hoping to reverse a really ugly season. Don’t expect Mark Richt and his troops to let that happen. They understand what the rivalry means in terms of their fans and potential recruiting battles.

The night slate isn’t great, but Notre Dame’s trip to Lane Stadium to take on Virginia Tech is worth your time. The atmosphere will be electric in Blacksburg. Here’s the full list of top 25 matchups for the week. As always, are projected winners are in bold. All games this week are on Saturday.

As you can see from our predictions, we feel like there are some upsets brewing on Saturday. We like the Hokies to win in front of their home crowd against the Fighting Irish. Look out for Mississippi State to earn a desperate win against a struggling Auburn team as well.

The toughest choice of the weekend is who to pick in the LSU-Florida game. We gave the nod to the Tigers but thought long and hard about grabbing the Gators in the Swamp.

Enjoy your Saturday chocked full of Top 25 action. There will definitely be some fireworks.
