College football Week 6: 5 teams on upset alert

2. Kentucky Wildcats
Rank: 13 | Opponent: Texas A&M Aggies | Start Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
No team has delivered a shock to the college football world in 2018 quite in the manner that the Kentucky Wildcats have. Led by star running back Benny Snell, the Wildcats have already been tested several times this season, but have passed each with flying colors. As a result, they’ve climbed to 13th in the country with a 5-0 record. Unfortunately for them, the tests aren’t stopping coming as they have to travel to Kyle Field to play the Texas A&M Aggies this week.
Again, being tested is nothing new for Kentucky. In five games, they’ve already played three SEC opponents, two of which were ranked at the time they met. Yet, the Wildcats have comfortably moved past Florida, Mississippi State and South Carolina, playing their brand of football in the process. Having said that, it’s safe to say that Texas A&M presents another type of test.
For one, new head coach Jimbo Fisher should have this team hungry. Not only are they coming off a shockingly close game against Arkansas, but they also sit at 3-2 looking for a signature win. This would help to deliver that for the new Aggies head coach, without question. And with Kellen Mond, a lethal dual-threat player at quarterback, that presents a test Kentucky has yet to see this season, at least in the way that Mond can take off.
What’s more, Kyle Field is always a notoriously difficult place to play. When you consider the lumps Kentucky has already had to take this season, even if they’ve come out victorious on the other side, you have to wonder if the odds are just a little stacked against them in this one.
