Oakland Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers (-5.5)
The Raiders (1-3) are on the road, but it’s basically a home game. Oakland will have the fans filled with silver and black, but the Chargers (2-2) are still the better team. If Los Angeles can kick a damn extra point and make the occasional field goal (HUGE ifs), the Chargers should handle business against their AFC West rival.
Pick: Los Angeles 28, Oakland 24
Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers (-4.5)
If you watch this game, seek help.
Pick: San Francisco 22, Arizona 19
Los Angeles Rams (-7) at Seattle Seahawks
The Rams (4-0) are the best team in football by a mile. The Seahawks (2-2) are insanely softer than their record would indicate. The only way Seattle wins this game is if we get a virtuoso performance from Russell Wilson and Jared Goff loses his touch.
Pick: Los Angeles 34, Seattle 19
Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles (-3)
This is an enormous game for Minnesota (1-2-1) and Philadelphia (2-2). Considering how tough the NFC is, the Vikings would be starting to fade from playoff contention with a loss here. Meanwhile, the Eagles should be fine in the NFC East but things like a playoff bye and home field might be a pipe dream with another defeat so early.
Pick: Minnesota 26, Philadelphia 22
Dallas Cowboys at Houston Texans (-3)
This game is somehow on national television. Hope you’re excited about Houston (1-3) showcasing the worst offensive line in football, and Dallas (2-2) giving us Allen Hurns and Geoff Swaim as starting targets for Dak Prescott.
Pick: Houston 27, Dallas 21
Washington Redskins at New Orleans Saints (-6.5)
Drew Brees needs 201 yards to break the all-time passing yards record, and he should do it easily. The Redskins (2-1) are a decent team, but going on the road against the Saints (3-1) on Monday night is a tall, tall order.
Pick: New Orleans 30, Washington 24
Last Week: 10-5
Season: 37-24-2
