Here’s what you need to know as the Washington Huskies look to extend their winning ways when they take on Chip Kelly and the UCLA Bruins.

No. 10 Washington is still on their path of redeeming itself from the loss against Auburn to open the season. To truly do that, the Huskies must continue to win against every team in their path and claim the Pac-12. The Washington Huskies step into this game with a top 10 ranking, a four-game winning streak, and a perfect conference record.Ā The next team that stands in the way of the Huskies’ goals happens to be the UCLA Bruins.

While Washington has been very successful this season, UCLA has been anything but that. Year one of the Chip Kelly era is certainly off to a rough start and the Bruins are winless so far this season. Things were expected to be rough as Kelly stepped in to rebuild the UCLA football program, but there were plenty of fans that hoped he’d bring along some sort of instant success and quick wins.

The Huskies are a considerably better team than the Bruins and that’s not anything close to an overstatement. Washington could end the season as a national title contender if they end up with only one loss and enough teams ahead of them in the polls stumble just slightly.

UCLA, on the other hand, is completely and totally inept this season. There’s little hope that the Bruins will even make it to a bowl this season. Fans should be patient with their new head coach, however. There’s a good chance that Kelly can make this team successful in the long run. It’s just not happening this season.

Prediction: The Huskies should be able to claim this victory pretty quickly. Given how UCLA has played up to this point in the season, there’s nothing to indicate that they can actually challenge Washington right now. The Bruins are a program that is focused on the future, not in this moment. The Huskies, on the other hand, are built to win at a high level immediately.

Score: Washington 52, UCLA 17

Go with the Washington Huskies here. They should be able to win big given how UCLA has given up points by the dozen all season.
