Welcome readers of FantasyCPR! Week 5 is just a couple days away and we have to dive into to our cash game locks for the Week 5 DraftKings slate.

Cash games have been difficult this week, and certainly isn’t going to be easy this week, every one knows the plays, it’s all about sticking to your process, your bankroll and profiting over time. If you can consistently play the same bankroll every week and stick to that consistently and cash, you will be extremely profitable over time.

Let’s dive into the Week 5: NFL DFS DraftKings Cash Game Locks:

Blake Bortles, JAX ($5,500) @ Kansas City

Bortles is going to be my starting point in cash games this week. He’s just way too cheap against the bad Kansas City defense. Bortles has attempted 30-plus passes in every game to start the season. There is a bunch of open throws against this Kansas City secondary and Bortles is going to be able to make a lot of easy throws this week. Without Fournette, the Jaguars become a pass first team, and they heavily rely on the arm of Blake Bortles. In two of his four games Bortles has throw for 300-plus yards. Also weekly Bortles is averaging an extra two-to-four fantasy points on the ground each week. For me, Bortles is a cash game lock this week.

David Johnson, ARI ($6,300) @ San Francisco

David Johnson is $6,300! Johnson has yet to have a huge game, however, the work is coming. If Arizona has any interest in winning they must feed David Johnson and get him heavily involved in the passing game this week. I love this as a David Johnson smash spot, I don’t want to be late to this party. Johnson is a $9,000 talent, priced at $6,300. Come on Arizona, feed this man the volume for us! San Francisco has been getting gashed in the running game and I think this could be a let down spot for the 49ers this week. I’m expecting the Cardinals to win and it all falls on the back of David Johnson. Cash game lock for me this week.

T.J. Yeldon, JAX ($5,600) @ Kansas City

Originally I wrote Yeldon on here as a only if Fournette is out. Well Leonard Fournette has been ruled out for Week 5, leading toward Yeldon being an absolute lock for cash games. Yeldon being the main running back switches this from a run first offense to a pass-heavy offense and Yeldon positively correlates with Bortles. In 2018, Yeldon is safe for between five and seven targets in the passing game this week and has a floor of 20 touches. Against this defense at this price, Yeldon is a lock n my cash games this week.

Vance McDonald, PIT ($3,700) v. ATL

So my fear with this is in a second, the Steelers could favor Jesse James. However, this game is the game that everyone is going to want to get exposure to. He is going to be 40-50% owned in cash games this week. I’ll probably just eat the chalk here but if lineup construction leads me there I will be willing to play Tyler Kroft in cash games as well. McDonald is cheap and has the best shot out of anyone in this range to return his expected points in this matchup this week.
