Jacksonville Jaguars @ Kansas City Chiefs (-3)

Now this is the matchup we’ve all been waiting for. The best defense in the league takes on the best offense. It’s a battle of the very best, where Jalen Ramsey takes on Patrick Mahomes and his many weapons.

This matchup depends on which version of Blake Bortles shows up to Arrowhead Stadium. Are we seeing the player who tore apart the Patriots, or the one who couldn’t score a touchdown against the Titans? He didn’t even look that good against the Jets despite the big win.

This matchup comes down to trust, and you have to trust the Chiefs at home even against this amazing defense.

Baltimore Ravens (-3) @ Cleveland Browns

The Baltimore Ravens look like a completely different team this year. Honestly, the addition of John Brown may be the biggest move the in the AFC this offseason besides the Chiefs going with Patrick Mahomes.

That showed in last week’s matchup with the Steelers. Brown only caught three passes, but they went for 116 yards and a touchdown. Joe Flacco loves to throw it deep, but he was missing that weapon when Mike Wallace went down last season. This season, John Brown is that deep threat.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns proved how they still don’t know how to win. They took a two-score lead against the hapless Oakland Raiders, but took the foot completely off the gas. Predictably, the Browns lost.

So, why do I want to pick the Browns here? For one, the Browns are home. That Dawg Pound is a real threat, and can swing a game. The Ravens have been prone to blowing a game they should win. I see a high-scoring matchup that ends on a field goal.
