It has been nearly two years since McGregor has graced the UFC Octagon and in his time away from the sport he never fully retreated from the spotlight. Although McGregor no longer holds the belt around his waist, it is no secret that he is the bigger draw in this lightweight match up. The history between these two men dates back to earlier this year in New York when McGregor retaliated against Nurmagomedov for a confrontation with a teammate. The events that followed have paved the way for this exciting match up and the build-up has almost spilled over.
