Loser: Oklahoma Sooners (No. 7 down to No. 11)

Just as Texas is a major winner this week, the Longhorns’ Week 6 opponent has to be considered a loser. The Sooners were unable to finish off the furious fourth-quarter comeback, but Kyler Murray showed grit and resiliency after a rough start to the game, falling behind 45-24.

Murray was able to stay calm and lead Oklahoma back to tie the game at 45-45, but Texas kicked the game-winning field goal with under 10 seconds left to take the Red River Showdown.

Oklahoma has been one of the most solid teams in the country this season, but it’s had two close calls in the past three weeks. Sure, the Sooners beat Baylor 66-33 last week but Army took them to overtime two Saturdays ago and Texas was able to pull off the upset.

The Sooners are still very much in the hunt for the College Football Playoff as we’ve learned that one loss doesn’t knock a team out of the race.

As for the Big 12 title, the Sooners could earn a rematch with Texas in the conference championship at the end of the season, but for now, they’ll need to win out.
