Star Wars: Resistance will debut on Sunday, Oct. 7. What can viewers expect from the first episode, and where can you watch it?

It’s finally time for more Star Wars animated content. Star Wars: Resistance is a brand new animated series on Disney Channel that will follow the story of Kazuda “Kaz” Xiono and his racing team, Team Fireball.

Kaz’s adventure will begin with an encounter with a very familiar face in Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), who recruits him to become part of the Resistance as a spy.

Since Kaz is obviously not a spy by trade, and this show is meant to be on the light-hearted side, this show promises to feature plenty of comedic relief and a lot of fast-paced adventure.

With his racing background and lack of spying experience, we’re certain to see some close calls and desperation escapes from danger in this new series, which will make a highly anticipated debut on Disney Channel Sunday, Oct. 7.

Season 1 of this new animated series will begin with an episode called “The Recruit”, and will be followed by an episode called “The Triple Dark”.

The first two episodes of the series will be the viewers’ first extended glimpse at Team Fireball and really everyone’s first on-screen exposure of any kind to the time period between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.

Throughout this first season, there will be a lot of new characters introduced to the Star Wars universe and a number of familiar faces joining the live-action/animation crossover as well.
