So, when will the 2018-19 NBA season kick off? That is the one question on everyone’s mind, and we have the answer, right here.

Ah, the 2018-19 NBA season is almost upon us, and many have only one question in mind; “When will the season officially tip-off?”

Well, make sure you have Oct. 16 circled because that is when the games really count.

Yes, I know where in the middle of preseason, but the season before the season doesn’t nearly compare with the actual season if any of that made any sense? The preseason is designed to get the players ready, for rookies to get some game experience, and for those looking for an NBA job to show off what they have.

After the meaningless games end, it’s time to get real, and on Oct. 16, we’re going to be in for a barnburner of a regular season. The night will tip-off with a rematch of the Eastern Conference Semifinal with the Philadelphia 76ers (trust the process!) making a trip to the TD Garden to face the Boston Celtics, who are the favorites to come out of the East this year, now that LeBron James decided that the competition East of the Mississippi isn’t up to par.

After the Sixers and Celtics renew their legendary rivalry, we will be transported to Oakland, where the Golden State Warriors will receive their championship rings, and kick of the final season in Oakland against the improved Oklahoma City Thunder.

This game is also a must-see, mainly because we will be treated to another round of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant going at each other’s throats, looking to get that edge for the upcoming season.

Sixers-Celtics begins at 8:00 p.m. ET. Warriors-Thunder tips off at 10:30 p.m. Both games will be televised on TNT.

And, really, who isn’t excited about the 2018-19 season? Sure, the Warriors could flatten all challengers and complete a three-peat, but that doesn’t mean that we’re not ready.

We are so ready for tip-off.
