30 biggest questions for the 2018-19 NBA season
The NBA Season is back! After an offseason filled with lots of player movement, a coaching change or two and a couple blockbuster trades, it’s finally time to settle into another 82-game grind filled with questions to be answered.
Every NBA season is a tidal wave of data. Within the thousands upon thousands of possessions that will unfold over the next six months, up-and-comers will make names for themselves, teams that seemed like sure things will sputter and falter and Bobby Portis will take three shots for every minute he’s on the court.
With so much activity that takes place nowadays between the last buzzer of the Finals and the opening tip of the next season, it’s natural for us to have an awful lot of questions about what we’re about to see. What team will overperform and shock us all? Will we see any rookies contribute right away like we saw last year? Will J.R. Smith use soup-throwing to stiffen up the Cavs defense? We’re all itching to find out.
To tide us over for just a few days longer, we’ve rounded up the 30 biggest questions of the upcoming NBA season that we can’t wait to finally have answers for. Keep in mind that this isn’t every team’s biggest question, although we will manage to touch on most every team in one way or another. This is the 30 biggest questions period. We’ll tackle headscratchers like playoff seeding as well as lighter fare like who’s gonna get posterized. To start, however, let’s talk about the biggest move of the offseason.
