2019 NFL Mock Draft: Giants take Justin Herbert at No. 1
By Brad Weiss

The Washington Redskins came into the 2018 NFL season looking to once again be a factor in the NFC East. After winning the division a few years ago, the Redskins saw the Dallas Cowboys win it in 2016, and then the Philadelphia Eagles not only win the division, but the Super Bowl this past season.
In the offseason, the Redskins made the move to bring in former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith, who is one of the better regular season quarterbacks in the NFL. Smith helped lead the Chiefs to back-to-back AFC West titles the past few seasons, and he just may bring an NFC East title to the Redskins this season.
The NFC East is wide open this season, as the Eagles have been going through a Super Bowl hangover, and the Cowboys and New York Giants are just not that good. Smith has been solid in his short time in Washington, and the Redskins just may be picking late in round one next April if he continues to lead this team to wins.
WIth that pick, the Redskins should look to get better in the secondary, and they could use a good cover cornerback like Amani Oruwariye from Penn State. Josh Norman is getting older, but that have a solid No. 2 in QuentoN Dunbar, so adding a player like Oruwariye would give the team three very good cornerbacks, which is a premium position in today’s NFL.
