When the San Francisco 49ers traded for Jimmy Garoppolo last season, it looked like they would be a team that could challenge in the NFC in 2018. Garoppolo looked so good as a starter for them in 2017, winning his five starts to close the season, and the team went out and got him some weapons this offseason.

Unfortunately, Garoppolo will have to watch the rest of the season from the bench, as he recently tore up his knee. That means the 49ers are going to have to roll with CJ Beathard as their quarterback the rest of the way, and as we saw on Sunday, he just does not have enough talent to win games in the NFL.

Losing to the Arizona Cardinals at home was pretty bad, and a look at this team shows they will likely be picking early in the first round next April. That means they can bring in a player who can help them tremendously in the pass rush, and Nick Bosa would be ideal for what they are trying to do on defense.

Bosa is going to miss a lot of time with an injury this season, but that should not affect his draft status. If he is still available when the 49ers pick, you can be sure general manager John Lynch is going to want to bring him in. He has the potential to be better than his brother, Joey, and that is really saying something.
