Point Guard

Starter — Kyrie Irving

Bench — Terry Rozier, Marcus Smart

On a roster that’s loaded with talent, the point guard position appears to be where the Celtics will be the most dangerous.

After winning a title in Cleveland, Kyrie Irving once again found zeal for running his own team, and after forcing a trade to Beantown, he immediately proved why GM Danny Ainge sacrificed Isaiah Thomas for him. He led the Celtics in points and assists and was improved on defense.

When he got hurt toward the end of the season, Terry Rozier and Marcus Smart easily filled the void. This season, the Celtics will be a three-headed monster at point guard, with Smart projected to, once again, make backcourts miserable with his bulldog defense and hustle.

The Celtics have no weakness here, and that should scare the daylights out of all opposing point guards.
